Giving Back

At the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt, we’re passionate about promoting philanthropy. Here are a few of the ways we give back:

• We amend trusts and wills at no cost if the sole change is adding a nonprofit to the distribution scheme. (The cost of amending supporting documents will remain unchanged.) Other charitable bequests also receive a discount on services.
• Looking for a local nonprofit? Check out the Big Day of Giving website for a directory.
• Every year for the Big Day of Giving, our staff gives back to our favorite local nonprofits and the firm matches donations.
• We support the rising generation of young lawyers with a $1,000 Scholarship for law students interested in practicing Trust & Estate Law.
• We’ve sponsored the Run to Feed the Hungry which supports the Sacramento Food Bank.
• We’ve sponsored multiple local youth sports teams.
• We’ve participated in the Fab 40’s 5k, an East Sacramento walk/run benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
• Every holiday season, we adopt families or individuals in need. Past recipients include:
  • Families affected by the Butte County Camp Fire
  • Families at St. John’s Program for Real Change
  • Seniors through the Elves for the Elderly program run by Seniors First
  • Newly-arrived Sacramento-area refugees through IRC-Sacramento
